Paraplanner

My journey

Qualifications
  • BSc Banking and Financial Planning

I began my career with the CBW Financial Planning team in October 2018. I started as an administrator as part of CBW’s Financial Planning graduate scheme having achieved a 2:1 degree in Banking & Financial Planning.

Prior to joining CBW, I worked as a waiter and barman for a local restaurant. I’m an outgoing person so I relished the role as it gave me the opportunity to meet and interact with various people, something I really enjoy doing.

I was promoted to the role of paraplanner in January 2021 which is the final stage before becoming a chartered financial planner. As a paraplanner, I assist our financial planners in their client meetings and prepare suitability reports.

I wish to become a financial planner as I am passionate about helping people understand and achieve their goals and aspirations. I hope to help existing and prospective clients navigate the world of finance and ensure their experience is as stress free as possible.

What I enjoy most about my job

I enjoy the interactions with the various people we assist. Plus, every day brings a different challenge and I like the idea of constantly learning.
