We’ve had a relationship with CBW Financial Planning (and Edwards before their acquisition by CBW) for around 30 years.

My wife and I are coming up to retirement age, so for the last few years, we’ve been focusing our minds on retirement planning. CBW has been providing us with help to consider and plan for the future. The work we’ve done with them has been a combination of investments and pensions for the most part. We’ve been fortunate enough to have surplus funds over the years that we wanted to invest, and we’ve sought out Chris and his team's advice on that. Ultimately, it’s about ensuring we have sufficient funds to ensure a long and healthy retirement.

CBW are very good at listening and understanding, and because we’ve been with them for years, they understand where we are. They’re always there to give proactive advice if they feel there’s something that could be adjusted or improved. We always feel we have the team’s attention; we never feel like we are just one of hundreds of people and we’re a number.

Chris Clayton is always available. We really appreciate that. We have an annual review with him and his team, and out of that, we’ll agree on one or two adjustments or courses of action which his team is very good at putting into practice.

At CBW, we genuinely feel we get a good personal service. They understand us, our needs and requirements moving forward and they’re proactive in looking for ways to improve that all the time.
