"Chris made me £10,000 over what I would have got had I accepted the provider’s offer."
Initially the contact I had with Chris was through my company. Around the year 2000, I was tasked with bringing in a pension arrangement for the whole of the firm where I was working. When that work was completed, I decided to continue working with Chris Clayton, as my own personal IFA.

I took early retirement six years ago. Chris has been my adviser throughout that period, working very closely with us. He’s organised our wills and trusts and of course, helped me with retirement planning.

When I went to see Chris, I held a Section 32 pension which was sold to me incorrectly more than 20 years ago. I was going through a claims process where the provider who had sold me the pension, admitted they were at fault and that I should have kept my money where it was previously. I was offered a compensation payment. Chris offered some very good advice and I turned down their offer. Ultimately, Chris made me £10,000 over and above what I would have got had I accepted the offer from the provider. It was his advice and guidance when I was retiring that got me that.

I cannot speak highly enough of Chris. I have a sizeable pension invested through CBW and any advice I need, I know Chris will be there to provide. His explanations are always clear. When I have a face-to-face meeting, he draws diagrams to assist myself and my wife in understanding what can otherwise be complex and hard to understand. I can just pick up the phone, send an email and I’ll get a reply from Chris within 24 hours. He’s very reliable and positive in his responses.
