Felicity Bagenal
Surrey, Client since circa 1995
When we first sought help, we had set up an IT Consultancy and had a growing property portfolio, and we wanted some long-term financial advice. The advice we were given on our pensions, and our overall portfolio was sound and thoughtful.
In 2016, Chris Clayton and John Kirk came out to our house to talk to my terminally ill husband, Philip, and myself, about planning for the future, setting up trusts and Inheritance Tax. Chris was extremely sensitive to our position which must have been difficult in the circumstances, and he speedily organised our affairs. The results of that work were that I was saved £350k-plus in Capital Gains Tax with the help of careful strategy involving a lot of work on their part. When John Kirk suddenly and tragically died, Chris became my sole adviser. I was still in a state of grief, dealing with moving house and needed a sound and effective pilot to get through those troubled waters. Chris was such a great man.
He has given me sound judgement, capital growth and, just as important, peace of mind in the five years that have passed since Philip died.
I now face the future confidently and can only say this is largely due to Chris. He is very intelligent, pro-active and inclusive. I feel I am very fortunate indeed to have him as my Financial Planner.
